Flagger Force is one of the most widely recognized traffic control companies in the Mid-Atlantic, with over 1,600 front line employees and around the clock dispatch, over 50,000-sf of warehouse space, and a company fleet of over 900. A key and unique feature that separates this organization from the competition is their industry acclaimed training program, which provides up-to-date instruction for every employee. The company is experiencing phenomenal growth because of the exceptional and unique service that they provide. When Flagger Force needed additional space at their corporate headquarters in Hummelstown, PA, they turned to Keystruct Construction, Inc.
The project scope involved the complete renovation of the 1st floor of their existing building, to expand the corporate office staff from the 2nd floor, and to accommodate a new conference room, and a state-of-the-art training facility. The “Flagger Force Academy,” previously located in a warehouse, will be used extensively for a variety of training purposes, so the space needed to be flexible to accommodate diverse activities.
An important feature for the completed space was the “Branding Wall,” that greets staff and guests to the office. This unique focal point includes specialized lighting to illuminate the positive corporate messages, as well as media screens to keep important information fresh and timely. The wall is operated with timers, so the messages are running when the office staff begin their work shifts, and turn off after the staff leaves for the evening.
The completed office and training spaces feature an energy-efficient HVAC system and motion-sensitive lighting. The furniture and details are modern and functional, utilizing enduring pieces that will serve the organization for many years.
“The result of the renovations is staggering,” said Mike Doner, Vice President of Flagger Force. “The visual impact for visitors, as well as the productive work spaces now provided are of great benefit to our organization. Our team has space to learn, grow, invest in each other and set the foundation for significant growth yet to come.”
